Martha Ford
Jewelry & Painting
I am originally from Hingham, Massachusetts. I graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, MA with a BA in Art History. After marriage my husband and I moved to Orlando, Florida where I resided for 43 years. Towards the end of my time in Orlando I took up jewelry making and
designing. I used semi-precious stones with sterling silver and gold filled beads. I did several trunk shows at Bloomingdales in Orlando. I
sold in jewelry and clothing stores. I even sold at Vaughan’s Jewelers in Wilson. I do custom designing for individual clients and dressmakers. I moved to Wilson 3 years ago and decided to take up painting as well. My medium is oils and acrylics. I have studied Abstract Art under Ginny
Lassiter at Wilson Community College and Still Life painting at Barton College under B.J. Hawley. I am a member of Wilson Active Artists and the Arts Council of Wilson.
My jewelry and paintings are shown and sold primarily around the Wilson area.
